In the story of the good samaritan,the Jewish priest saw the wounded man and passed,the Jewish levite saw the wounded Jewish man and he passed.which means that all his kinsmen saw him and never cared to help,but those who are known and arch enemies of the Jews,a Samaritan saw this wounded Jewish man and had compassion.He bounded his wounds,took him to the hospital,paid for his medical bills,accommodation and feeding......Christ said this samaritan man is truly a neighbour....The love shown by the Samaritan earned him the tittle GOOD. Have you ever gone out of your way to help somebody before?,To help one who hates you,one does not care whether you exist or not,somebody you don't know,somebody which is not of your race ?...Your neighbour is not only your brother or sister,it's not only people of the same tribe and race,not only the person living next to you....He or she is that person you go extra mile to help,even though you may not get a reward for such.
Secondly,know very well that the people you expect to help you in difficult situations hardly do so.Strangers many a times are more compassionate than people close you.
Treat strangers around you well.You may not know who can be of help to you tomorrow
