Satan puts traps for those who are strong in their faith. He knows that he will taste defeat at a face to face encounter. So he hides and blocks the food and water which sustain the individua,he prevents you from receiving the Eucharis,blocks your ear from listening to the word of God,makes you so lazy and lukewarm when it comes to prayers ,Makes sure you that he forces you to disassociate yourself from those who can help you spiritually.
As we loose our zeal for the Holy Eucharist, the Word of God and prayer, we will feel a terrible scarcity of spiritual food. Reluctance to repent and aversion to sacraments will make us weak and morally powerless. Knowing that we are fragile, he will start his direct fight against us. Therefore we should never ignore the importance of spiritual food, however great and strong we may be. Sin will tear down our confidence. Like our forefathers, sin will take away the courage to face real life situations. It is the white robe of holiness that make us strong in our fight against the enemy. Therefore never ignore the spiritual food.
There are some reoccurring sins that each time I go to confession , its always it. Most times it prev ents me from receiving communion becos even after confession i still do it
ReplyDeleteThe only way to avoid recurring sins is first,you have to ask the Holy Spirit for the grace,secondly you have to take a firm decision,thirdly,you have to avoid occasions that will lead you to that same sin,and that is why practicing custody of the senses is very important....that's is disciplining your mouth on what to say,your ear on what to hear,your eye on what to see for these are windows through which sin enters
