OBEDIENCE AND TRUST IS WHAT GOD DEMAND FROM

In 2 kings 5:14-17,Namaan was asked to go and dip himself seven times inside the river Jordan,Just like Christ asked the ten lepers to go and show themselves to a weak,sinful and frail man.....a priest

A very simple instruction, but Namaan became angry and went away saying..."Behold I thought that he would surely come outbto me and stand,and call on the name of the Lord his God and wave his hand over the place and cure the leper".

Namaan knew that there other cleaner rivers around to...namely Abana and Pharper.He thought over the instruction of the Prophet and decided to walk away but his servant intervened ......."Also am very much sure that among the ten  lepers(luke17:11-19) who were healed by Christ,nine of them fail to receive a complete healing because they could not imagine going to the priest to show themselves and couldn't come back to report because they just walked away"(personal opinion) .The nine thought and imagined the irrelevance of going to the priest....As such they walked away,but the foreigner went and returned to say "thank you for saving me".

This reminds me of a famous story called

HAD I BEEN WAITING FOR THE PRIEST? (ELEGAM FADA)
A young woman,who was married for close to ten years without a child.Daily this woman goes to mass,receives communion.legal wedded in the church.This woman has done many prayers and novenas,even fasting as directed by the parish priest,yet no child...Then,one day , she met a friend that attends one of the white garment churches and narrated all she has been going through to her.In response this friend of hers promised to take her to a church she will get a child.Later that week,she was taken to a church and months later she became pregnant.After nine months she was delivered of a bouncing baby boy and at the naming ceremony she named him.."HAD I BEEN WAITING FOR THE PRIEST"(Elegam Fada).....literally ,she said,had I been waiting for the priest prayers and novenas ,I wouldn't have gotten a child.

After one week of "Elegam Fada''s birth he became ill and the father and mother sold all they have in the house unfortunately "Elegam Fada" died....and this woman returned back to the priest to ask for pardon.

Just like Namaan and the nine lepers,Have any priest ever asked you to carry out a simple instruction and refused maybe because he never ask you to fast for forty day,have you doubted the hail Mary and our father,a priest asked you to recite because of a particular problem you have.Have you expected a priest to lay his hands and pray down heaven but he rather said Hail Mary and Glory be.....I can imagine how disappointed you felt.....The bible says,the way of God is not the way of man (Is 55:8).Obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22).

Learn to follow the instruction and advice of your priests.Never doubt the prayer he asked you to do....He represents you before  the Divine Trinity and ,though he is a weak,sinful and frail man,but God chose him for a purpose...listen to him...for when you do so you are also listening to God whom he represent.
