PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS ...PUSH

One man had a great desire to please God. He prayed day and night and once he heard the voice from above saying: “I want you to go and push that large stone.”

The man woke up and was so inspired. He ran to find the stone and started pushing it. He pushed and pushed, but nothing happened. He kept pushing the rock all day long.

The next day he did the same, but the stone did not move at all. For three months the man kept pushing the huge boulder. Finally he got tired and stopped pushing.

That night he had another dream, and he heard the voice saying:

“Why did you stop pushing the stone?”

“Nothing happened and the boulder is still there,” – answered the man.

“Nothing happened? Look at you! You have become so much more focused and stronger. You built up your muscles. You are a changed man now! Pushing has transformed you! Besides, I did not tell you to move the stone. I just told you to push it. When the time comes, I’ll move it Myself!”

As you see, at times hardships in your life are there to make you stronger and to change you. They are not there for you to deal away with them. When the time comes, your deliverance will be from the Lord.

Someone said, “PRAYER is Push Until Something 

WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

It was about eight o’clock when her son who was asthmatic developed some complications. He had to be rushed to the nearest hospital about 1km away or else it would be fatal. She called a neighbor who had a car but the neighbor said the car had no fuel; she called the pastor who said he had visiting pastors from the neighboring country and could not leave them alone. She decided to carry the son to the hospital; she could not imagine loosing her only child to the same sickness that had killed the husband few years earlier. She had a problem with her leg and could not move fast enough and the son was also heavy for her to move faster.

Along the way she met people rushing home from work who just stared at her. She tried to beg them for help but they assumed her. She also tried to stop passing vehicles but they never responded. She fell many times but she had to keep moving. Then a man who was mad and used to roam the streets Unclad noticed her. He came running towards her and took the son from her. She could not talk but just pointed the direction of the hospital.

The crazy Unclad man could understand perfectly well what she meant since he saw the desperate boy struggling for breath. He put him on the shoulder and told the woman “all will be well” as he ran towards the hospital. The doctors on seeing the crazy man knew something was really wrong, they attended to the boy immediately.

Ten minutes later the mother arrived and the doctor broke the news “if he was brought five Minutes later, he would have died”.

God doesn’t have to use Bishops, Pastors, Alfas, family, politicians & rich people with cars to rescue or bless you. No matter what may come your way, no matter what you are going through, your life is in His hands & He has good thoughts for you. I know you will make it. For there is a friend in God who will wipe away your tears.
The Word of God says

“For with GOD all things are possible” (Mt 19:26 & Mark 10:27)
“Nothing is impossible to God” (Lk 1: 37)

“Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear” (Is 59:1)

NEVER BE DISCOURAGED BY THE CROWD

The book of Wisdom, (wisdom 11:22-122).stated explicitly how merciful God can be to us His creatures...Though the whole world is like a grain..He never considers His greatness  over and above our minute nature rather He prefers to show us mercy.In our sinful nature and action,He never holds us in abhorrence. He never hates what He has created.Rather little by little He corrects us.He purifies us the way gold is purified with fire....He never abandons us even in our sinful life....He continues to be a true God even in the face of our unworthiness and unfaithfulness to Him.

God do not count our sins,He does not think of them rather what He demands from us is to return back to Him.....In the Gospel of Saint luke today (luke 19:1-10),We saw a man called Zacchaeus,a tax collector,a wealthy man,a man known in the society to have gotten his wealth illegally ....This man must have heard about Jesus.....and he said to himself I must see this man I have been hearing about .....He took the decision,he told himself the truth about his way of life....he examined his conscience and realize that he is a sinful man,....he must have heard that Christ shows mercy to sinners and never condemns them...He knew that Christ is seeking for lost souls and as such he took that bold step to search for Christ. ..And he was lucky enough because that may have been his last opportunity,because it was after that encounter that Jesus entered Jerusalem where he suffered and was crucified.

Zacchaeus took the postie step of searching for Christ.....when he came around the place Christ was,the crowd was so much that he instantly took the decision to go up and wait for Christ ....and scripture say.."those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength (isaiah 40:31)...Zacchaeus was not discouraged by the crowd he saw...remember he was a shot man .he was discouraged by his limitations ....he went further in his search for the Divine...and to help himself he climb a sycamore tree....Saint August one stated..." that  God who created you cannot help you without you"....and the scriptures says.."Heaven help those who help themselves"...This short and 'spiritual curious'man was on the tree trying to have a glance at Jesus....eventually Jesus saw him....As we search for Him,He searches for us...when we draw close to Him,He draws close to us.....And Christ said to hurry my son,tonight I will be in your house to dine and wine....and the crowd murmured that He has gone to the house of a sinner to eat...

My dear friend,Christ is not after your sin...He is a merciful father ....His Powerfulness lies in His mercy unlike man who is powerless and full of mercilessness . ..Don not allow your sin both present and past to dear you from seeking God....The enemy will accuse you, remind you of your past....remind him of his own past.....the crowd maybe used to stop you from knowing the truth ,my dear friend never allow that. ...The crowd could be your immoral girl friend or boy friend...it could your pagan wife or husband...the crowd could be your wealth ,the crowd could be your work that do not give you opportunity to know God more...remember ...you work to live and sustain life  but you don't live only  to work....the crowd could be that sin the you don't want to come out from....anything that blocks your way to knowing Christ  is the crowd,but the you can overcome these by Persistance in prayer....devotion to God....be committed to knowing Christ..just like saint prayed"Jesus that I may know you....and the power of your ressurrection"

ALWAYS KNOW THAT WE ARE IN THE WORLD BUT NOT OF THE WORLD....GIVE GOD YOUR ATTENTION

One day a construction supervisor from 6th floor of building was calling a worker working on the ground floor. Because of construction noise, the worker on ground floor did not hear his supervisor calling.
Than, to draw the attention of worker, the supervisor threw a 10 rupee note from up which fell right around in front of the worker.
The worker picked up the 10 rupee note, put it in his pocket & continued with his work.
Again to draw the attention of worker, the supervisor now threw 500 rupee note & the worker did the same, picked 500 rupee note, put it in his pocket & started doing his job.
Now to draw attention of the worker, the supervisor picked a small stone & threw on worker. The stone hit exactly the worker head. This time the worker looked up & the supervisor communicated with the worker.

This story is same as of our life. Lord from up wants to communicate with us, but we are busy doing our worldly jobs. Then God give us small gifts & we just keep it without seeing from where we got it.
Then God gives us amounts (gifts) & we are the same. Just keep the gifts without seeing from where it come & without thanking God. We just say we are LUCKY.
Then when we are hit with a small stone, which we call problems, then we look up & we communicate with God.

So every time we get gift, we should thank God immediately, and not wait till we are hit by a small stone, and then we should communicate with God….

STOP BEING ENVIOUS

An elephant and a dog became pregnant at same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued.
On the eighteenth month the dog approached the elephant questioning, _”Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. Whats going on?”._
The elephant replied, _”There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I’m carrying is mighty and great.”._
Don’t lose faith when you see others receive answers to their prayers.
Don’t be envious of others testimony. If you haven’t received your own blessings, don’t despair. Say to yourself “My time is coming, and when it hits the surface of the earth, people shall yield in admiration.”

JUST LOOK UP TO GOD

THE BUZZARD (Any of various North American vultures):
If you put a buzzard in a pen that is 6 feet by 8 feet
and is entirely open at the top,
the bird, in spite of its ability to fly,
will be an absolute prisoner.
The reason is that a buzzard always begins a flight
from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet.
Without space to run, as is its habit,
it will not even attempt to fly,
but will remain a prisoner for life
in a small jail with no top.

THE BAT:
The ordinary bat that flies around at night,
a remarkable nimble creature in the air,
cannot take off from a level place.
If it is placed on the floor or flat ground,
all it can do is shuffle about helplessly
and, no doubt, painfully,
until it reaches some slight elevation
from which it can throw itself into the air.
Then, at once, it takes off like a flash.

THE BUMBLEBEE:
A bumblebee, if dropped into an open tumbler,
will be there until it dies, unless it is taken out.
It never sees the means of escape at the top,
but persists in trying to find some way out
through the sides near the bottom.
It will seek a way where none exists,
until it completely destroys itself.

PEOPLE:
In many ways, we are like the buzzard, the bat, and the bumblebee.
We struggle about with all our problems and frustrations,
never realizing that all we have to do is look up!
That’s the answer, the escape route and the solution
to any problem!
Whether the problem is in your organisation,
family, social circle or personal life
– Just look up.

CAN I BORROW YOU $5O DADDY?

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: “Daddy, may I ask you a question?”
DAD: “Yeah sure, what is it?” replied the man.
SON: “Daddy, how much do you make an hour?”
DAD: “That’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?” the man said angrily.
SON: “I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?”
DAD: “If you must know, I make $100 an hour.”
SON: “Oh,” the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: “Daddy, may I please borrow $50?”

The father was furious, “If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room.The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $50 and he really didn’t ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy’s room and opened the door.” Are you asleep, son?” He asked.
“No daddy, I’m awake,” replied the boy. “I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier” said the man. Here’s the $50 you asked for.”

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. “Oh, thank you daddy!” He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father. “Why do you want more money if you already have some?” the father grumbled.”Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied.

100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?
Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.”

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

A reminder to all of us working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts……..

ARE YOU IN THE HABIT OF COMPARING YOURSELF WITH OTHERS?

A Crow was absolutely satisfied in life.

But one day he saw a swan…
This swan is so white and I am so black…crow thought.

This swan must be the happiest bird in the world.

He expressed his thoughts to the swan.
“Actually,” the swan replied,

“I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a parrot, which has two colors.
I now think the parrot is the happiest bird in creation.”

The crow then approached the parrot.
The parrot explained,
“I lived a very happy life—until I saw a peacock.
I have only two colors, but the peacock has multiple colors.”

The crow then visited a peacock in the zoo and saw that hundreds of people had gathered to see him.

After the people had left,
The crow approached the Peacock..

Dear Peacock,
You are so beautiful.
Every day thousands of people come to see you.
When people see me,
they immediately shoo me away.
I think you are the happiest bird on the planet.

The peacock replied,
I always thought that I was the most beautiful and happy bird on the planet.
But because of my beauty,
I am entrapped in this zoo.

I have examined the zoo very carefully, and I have realized that the crow is the only bird not kept in a cage.

So for past few days I have been thinking that if I were a crow,
I could happily roam everywhere.

That’s our problem too.

We make unnecessary comparison with others and become sad.

We don’t value what God has given us.
This all leads to the vicious cycle of unhappiness.

Value the things god has given us.

Learn the secret of being happy and discard the comparison which leads only to unhappiness…

THE 99 CLUB

Once upon a time, there lived a King who, despite his luxurious lifestyle, was neither happy nor content.
One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he worked. This fascinated the King; why was he, the Supreme Ruler of the Land, unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much joy. The King asked the servant, “Why are you so happy?”
The man replied, “Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but my family and I don’t need too much – just a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummies.”
The king was not satisfied with that reply. Later in the day, he sought the advice of his most trusted advisor. After hearing the King’s woes and the servant’s story, the advisor said, “Your Majesty, I believe that the servant has not been made part of The 99 Club.”
“The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?” the King inquired.
The advisor replied, “Your Majesty, to truly know what The 99 Club is, place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant’s doorstep.”
When the servant saw the bag, he took it into his house. When he opened the bag, he let out a great shout of joy… So many gold coins!
He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced that there were 99 coins. He wondered, “What could’ve happened to that last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!”
He looked everywhere he could, but that final coin was elusive. Finally, exhausted, he decided that he was going to have to work harder than ever to earn that gold coin and complete his collection.
From that day, the servant’s life was changed. He was overworked, horribly grumpy, and castigated his family for not helping him make that 100th gold coin. He stopped singing while he worked.
Witnessing this drastic transformation, the King was puzzled. When he sought his advisor’s help, the advisor said, “Your Majesty, the servant has now officially joined The 99 Club.”
He continued, “The 99 Club is a name given to those people who have enough to be happy but are never content, because they’re always yearning and striving for that extra 1 telling to themselves: “Let me get that one final thing and then I will be happy for life.”
We can be happy, even with very little in our lives, but the minute we’re given something bigger and better, we want even more! We lose our sleep, our happiness, we hurt the people around us; all these as a price for our growing needs and desires. That’s what joining The 99 Club is all about.

GOD IS AT THE WINDOW

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.

He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.

He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target.

Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner…

As he was walking back he saw Grandma’s pet duck.

Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved!

In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his
Sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, ‘Sally, let’s wash the dishes’

But Sally said, ‘Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.’

Then she whispered to him, “Remember the duck?’

So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, ‘I’m sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.’

Sally just smiled and said, ‘well that’s all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help?

She whispered again, ‘Remember the duck?’ So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally’s; he
Finally couldn’t stand it any longer.

He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck.

Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, ‘Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you.’

Thought for the day and every day thereafter:

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done…? And the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc…)…whatever it is..You need to know that:
God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing.

He has seen your whole life… He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He’s just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you..

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness;

He not only forgives you, but He forgets.

It is by God’s grace and mercy that we are saved.

Go ahead and make the difference in someone’s life today.

NEVER BE QUICK TO ACT...HUSBAND AND WIFE

A very loving couple have been married for over 10 years without any child and
it was becoming their 11th year. Steve and Sarah stayed with each other and greatly hoped that they will have a child before their 11th year of marriage runs out because they were under persuasion from friends and family members to get a divorce .
but they couldn’t let go because of the strong bond of love between them.
Months passed and one day, while Dave was returning from work, he saw his wife walking down the road with a man.

The man had his arms around her neck and they looked very happy.
For over a week, he saw the same man with his wife at various places and one evening, while Dave was returning from work he saw the man drop her off at the house after giving her a kiss on the cheek. Dave was angry and sad.
Two days later, after a hectic day at work, Dave was taking water with a glass jug from the dispenser when the phone rang.
He picked it up and the person said,”Hello dear, I’ll be coming to your house this evening to see you as promised. I hope…..”.

Dave hung-up the phone. It was a male voice and he was sure the person was the man he had always seen her with. He suddenly became shaky with the thought that he has lost his
wife to another man. The glass jug fell from his hand and shattered into pieces.

His wife came running into the room asking,”Is everything okay?”. In anger he gave his wife a push and she fell. She wasn’t moving or getting up.
Dave then realized that she fell where he broke the glass jug.

A large piece of glass had pierced her. He felt her breath, pulse and heartbeat but there she lay lifeless. His wife was dead! In total confusion, he saw an envelope in her hand.

He took it, opened it and was shocked by its content -it was a letter. It reads:
“My loving husband, words cannot express how I feel so,

I had to write it down. I have been going to see a doctor for over a
week and I wanted to be sure before I give you the news.

The doctor confirmed it that I am pregnant with a twin and our baby is due 2 months from now. The same doctor is my long lost brother whom I lost contact with after our marriage. He has promised to take care of me and our baby and give us the best
without collecting a dime.

He also promised to have dinner with us today.
I am putting this on your favorite chair in the sitting room for you
to remember the day you proposed to me and I had to write to you saying,

“Yes” because I was so happy. Thanks for staying by my side”. -Your loving wife .
The letter fell from his hand. There was a knock at the door and the same man he had seen with his wife came in and said, ”Hello Dave, I suppose I’m right. Its Max the brother of your wife and……”. Suddenly, Max noticed his sister lying in a pool of her blood.
He rushed her to the hospital and she was confirmed dead. Her twin baby gone.

Message OF THE STORY
- We should not be too quick to take unnecessary actions in our relationship or marriage when we havn’t questioned our partner or spouse on what we saw or heard about them.
- Each of us have our faults. We shouldn’t be too fast to decide the judgement of others.
Have you thought of that thing you are doing wrong that no one sees?
- Not everything you see, hear or believe about someone is true.

moral OF THE STORY
Always learn to control yourself under any condition or situation, irrespective of what you’ve heard or seen You never can tell… Can you?

THE PREGNANT DEER

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth.
She finds a remote grass field near a strong-flowing river.
This seems a safe place.
Suddenly labour pains begin.

At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire.
She looks to her left & sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her.
To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.

What can the pregnant deer do?
She is in labour!

What will happen?
Will the deer survive?
Will she give birth to a fawn?
Will the fawn survive?
Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?
Will she perish to the hunters’ arrow?
Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?

She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other & boxed in by her natural predators.

What does she do?
She focuses on giving birth to a new life.

The sequence of events that follows are:

- Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.
- He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.
- It starts to rain heavily, & the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.
- The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.

In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on αll sides with negative thoughts and possibilities.

Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us & overwhelm us.

Maybe we can learn from the deer.
The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.

The rest was not in her hands & any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.

Ask yourself,
Where is your focus?
Where is your faith and hope?

In the midst of any storm, do keep faith on the Creator always. He will never ever disappoint you. NEVER.

Remember, He neither slumbers nor sleeps…
